Characteristics of an Internship

· May be paid, unpaid or partially paid (in the form of a stipend or by providing the intern with room and board)
· May be arranged and submitted for approval as far as 6 months in advance
· May take place during the Academic Year or during the summer
· May be as short as one week and as long as 4 months depending on the major and each student’s specific academic requirements
· Take place primarily off campus
