1. What is an Internship at MUM?
An internship at MUM is an academic and practical work experience related to a student's major or minor that supplements what students are learning in their classes. A student will receive credit for the internship if the internship is approved as described in the procedures below.
A qualified on-site supervisor conducts the daily learning experience but the student is also supervised by a faculty advisor in their major or minor who sets the learning guidelines and deliverables and is in touch with the on-site supervisor to insure a meaningful experience for the student.

7. How many hours per week does an internship have to be to qualify for college credit?
It would have to cover the same hours as if you were taking a class at MUM and ideally follow the same routine.

9. When is the best time to do an internship?
Doing an internship during your junior or senior year is what's typically recommended since you already have a few years of classes and knowledge that you can apply at the organization you would intern at. Most organizations are looking for interns who have completed at least their first year of studies. Also, at MUM it is best to schedule an internship sometime during the 6 weeks of summer as there aren't usually many courses offered at that time.
