  • Must directly relate to the student's major field or area of career interest
  • Must be full-time. Interns should work at least the same amount of hours as if they were taking a class (at least 25 hours per week).
  • Must be located in the United States. International Internships are possible only if the MUM Academic Advisor is on-site and the internship is movement related.
  • The on-site supervisor is a professional in the field (not a student) and provides continuous supervision and professional knowledge.
  • The MUM Faculty member has the role of Academic Advisor and is not the On-site Supervisor
  • Academic credit will not be granted for past internship experiences which were not previously established and approved
  • Student must have completed several units at MUM (approx. 1 year) including STC or SCI and 8 units in their major


Academic Deliverables for an Internship
The designated MUM Faculty Advisor meets with the student to decide upon deliverables for the internship and these may vary from case to case. They typically include: weekly reports, an online blog and a final summative essay.
